Map[edit]
The player begins with 700 gold income and 100 initial gold, slowly going down as the Golem progresses. This enables frequent use of the Mage's Heal spell and use of Nuru's groove.
Unlike most maps, the Felheim faction takes their turn first, reversing the turn order. This is not particularly relevant to the gameplay.
The enemy Golem will go from Village to Village, gradually reducing the player's income. Unhindered, the Giant will take 23 turns to reach and destroy the Stronghold.
The Golem, unlike most Giants, receives 5% health regeneration per turn. This makes it unweakened as it attacks Villages, and is slightly stronger than most Giants
The two land masses are entirely seperated from each other by impassable Sea. The only method of reaching the Giant is to use the Balloon, which is converted to Nuru's side when they have a unit near it. There are no additional balloons, so if it is destroyed by an enemy mage after conversion, the mission will be unwinnable.
Story[edit]
31st July, Pollen Puff Cliffs
Nuru and Koji spend some time together, discussing Tenko, Koji's invention. A villager arrives calling for help, a horde of undead are running around as a rogue Giant is storm through villages. Nuru, enjoying the idea of fighting a giant, rushes in to help.
When the situation has all been calmed, Nuru mentions how nice it is that her duties and hobbies align; Koji and Nuru share kind words, before they head back out again to rejoin Mercia's group.

Dialogue[edit]
Introduction Dialogue
There's the Giant! That Villager wasn't kidding - those Villages are in major peril.
And it won't be long before the Giant reaches that Stronghold!
But I can't get across the water... Hmm...
Oh, hey! We can commandeer that Balloon and fly across!
Just some spindly skeletons in the way. I'll be there in no time.
Town 1 neutralised by Golem
The Giant's already taken out one of the Villages!
At least the Villagers evacuated in time... But I better take this Giant out, fast!
Town 2 neutralised by Golem
I've got to push forward! I can't let those bonebags slow me down.
Town 3 neutralised by Golem
I have to get to that Balloon and cross the water, fast!
Town 4 neutralised by Golem
Another Village destroyed! This is not good.
Town 5 neutralised by Golem
There's only one more Village before the Stronghold!
Town 6 neutralised by Golem
It's so close to the Stronghold... I have to stop it, now!
Nuru's units reach the Balloon
Awesome! The Balloon's pilot is willing to help out!
- (Balloon converts to Nuru's team)
Time to cross the water and stop that Giant before it reaches the Stronghold!
Defeat the enemy Giant
Nuru is defeated (normal)
Nuru is defeated by Golem
Ugh... I underestimated how strong that thing was...
The Stronghold is destroyed
- (Enter Nuru)
Villager: Did you find the giant?
Yep - found it and defeated it.
Taught those undead a lesson or two too.
Villager: I'm off to the tavern!
- (Exit Villager)
Isn't it great when your hobbies line up with your duties?
I think you may be the coolest person I've ever met.
I think you're pretty cool too, little Mr. Engineering Genius.
Trivia[edit]
- This is one of the two missions of the single player campaign to feature absolutely no unlocks or campaign progress. The other is A Fragile Blockade
- This is one of only two missions in the game where the enemy takes their turn before the player. The other is Shadows in the Mist.
- The A rank requirement is as long as it would take to lose. Therefore, a B rank is only earned by having taken longer to defeat the Giant than it would have taken the Giant to destroy the Stronghold.
- Across the available 22 turns, the player will receive a total of 8100 gold, enough for 27 uses of the Mage's Heal spell.
- The Giant's unhindered attack route is actually sub-optimal. It could take down all structures in 22 turns, but makes an unnessecary move at the 4th village, wasting time.
