Balance and Wisdom is the fourth map in Puzzle mode.
Objective[edit]
Defeat Greenfinger in a single turn.
Map[edit]
Emeric begins the mission with his Groove fully charged, allowing him to place a Crystal to boost the defence of nearby tiles by 3.
Strategy[edit]
Hint: Emeric's Elder Shield directly affects tiles, not units!
Hint 2: In order to do enough damage, both Knights will need to critical attack Greenfinger; and then you will need a third source of damage.
This puzzle makes use of the interaction between Emeric's Groove and the Alchemist's critical condition. Every tile under the influence of Elder Shield will have 3 ally-only defense added to it, which guarantees that an Alchemist within its influence will critical, no matter what terrain they're on (save for the Beach).
Moves:
- Trebuchet attacks and defeats the middle Slasher (freeing up the spot for Emeric's Elder Shield)
- Ranger attacks and defeats the east Slasher
- Emeric moves one tile up, then uses Elder Shield on the tile directly above him (which affects the terrain both left of the northeast Stabber and below the west Shooter)
- East Alchemist moves all the way up, then critical attacks and defeats the Stabber (thus freeing the east Knight)
- West Alchemist moves directly below the Shooter, then critical attacks and defeats them (thus freeing the west Knight)
- East Knight moves the the tile directly above Greenfeather, then critical attacks him
- West Knight moves directly below Greenfeather, then critical attacks him (this Knight will only critical if they've moved six spaces, so the tile below Greenfeather needs to be kept free)
- Dog moves directly right of Greenfeather, then attacks and defeats him
