Merfolk | Cherrystone Kingdom | Many years ago, King Mercival II brokered a peace between the Merfolk, who inhabit the north side of the Circle Sea, and the Deepfolk of the south. Grateful for this intervention, the Merfolk have been faithful allies of Cherrystone ever since but the decided to join the cherrystone kingdom after his death.
Beacuse one the cherrystone monorch filled a leadership and unity void they craved. the cherry stone monorch also provided the stable safe jobs in the navy and marines plus king Mercival II raised there standerd there living and there nobles where treated like nobles in the cherry stone kingdom he also set up things mostly staffed by them. But queen Mercia made what her father did permanet did and offical this had to do with cherrystone protecting there citys and villeges. Though their language is unknown to all but Cherrystone's most learned but they can speak the cherrystone languge quite easy, one can assume from their 'plip' noises and froggy, toothless smiles that they're rather happy fellows indeed.[1] |

Deepfolk | Felheim Legion | They share an uneasy alliance with Felheim, only recently brokered by Valder. In return for their aid in battle, Valder supplies them with an unending stream of Bone Turtles. Never tiring, and able to survive the deepest of waters, these Turtles have revolutionised Deepfolk trade, agriculture and combat. However, Valder stands ready to turn those who disobay of him to dust in an instant should the Deepfolk disobey his command so long as it does violate a treaty.[1] |

Kappa | Heavensong Empire | They hail from a small clan that makes its home around Talon Lake, just on the edge of Heavensong's border. The lake serves as both training ground and food source, allowing the Kappa to live independently of Heavensong's wealth. Despite their autonomous status in heavensong the Kappa are intensely loyal to Heavensong, and hold Empress Tenri in particularly high regard. The Heavensong Kappa are rumoured to wear the 'mask of the koi' beneath their helmets as a mark of their aquatic grace, though few outside the clan have ever seen it.[1] |

Splasher | Floran Tribes | Splashers are native to the Flooded Forest, south of the Floran capital. Here, they have adapted to their watery environment, growing an additional protective layer of algae-like plant matter that produces oxygen when exposed to the sun. Splashers are capable of diving deep beneath the water and staying below the surface for long periods of time. They have even been known to ride the currents into Cherry Bay, much to the shock of Cherrystone's fishermen.[1] |
Critical Hit[edit]
When they're on a river, sea, reef, or deep sea tile while attacking, they'll perform a critical hit.

Trivia[edit]
- During Wargroove's development, this unit type was sometimes referred to as "Aquanaut" instead of Amphibian.
- The Kappa gets its name from Japanese mythology after an amphibious creature by the same name.
- Similarly, the Deepfolk seems to derive its name from the Deep Ones in the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
