Gold is the currency which allows players to recruit new units and to reinforce building health into injured units.

Players earn gold by controlling buildings. Buildings under the player's control will be the same color as their army. Enemy buildings will earn the enemy army income. Buildings which are gray and controlled by no faction generate no income.

Players can see their current gold total in their HUD at the top of the game window. When entering a building window the current gold total will appear at the top of the unit listing.

Gold is generated at the beginning of each players turn, by totaling up all of the cities that player owns, plus their headquarters. Each building earns 100 at the beginning of each turn. Barracks and other unit recruitment buildings do not earn income.
